Xpectations!!

Expectation is a word that carries so much of a lot of things like, curiosity, anticipation, anxiety, happyness, burden, fear, shiver and what not?!! Whenever I get my hopes high on something and expect that to happen, I say to myself that it is not healthy to expect so much. But lemme face it, I was never able to control my expectation.

I asked to myself, "Is it so wrong to expect something?". Well, I didn't get an answer till now.

When our expectations are fulfilled, the amount of happyness you get is unimaginable. You feel like you're the happiest person in the world and everything around you looks perfect.

At the same time, when you expect something to happen, and if it doesn't, you get so depressed and gloomy. The whole world seems to be working against you!

Expectations could be huge or really really small & silly. But the impact it has on a person is pretty much the same.

Many would have faced a lot of 'Expectation scenarios' in their life. Lemme just list out a few, that runs on top of my head! They might be petty things, but believe me, they have a strong impact! More importantly, you expect things from someone who is special/unique/important in your life.

#1. Cawwl..!

       1. A call from someone, who said they will call you back in 5 and suddenly you find that your watch is running a race!
       2. They say they will intimate your result over the phone.

#2. A Text

      1. Expecting a reply for a really important question from someone you like the most.
      2. Sending a "Hi, What's up?" message to a person after a really long time and waiting for a reply.
      3. Important questions list for tomorrow's exam. :-P

#3. A gift or a courier or at least a call at 12 on your B'day.

#4. Anticipating a vacation trip with family or a farewell party/get-together with friends.

#5. Exam results, when the internet is so damn slow.

#6. Announcing the winners list.

#7. The moment after you click the 'Submit' button and you wait for the computer to process your request to get your final marks.

And etc etc.. Is it possible to not expect anything? Huh, No way! Why? Well, without expectation, life might be monotonous.

But, is it healthy to expect all the time? Hmm, I dunno. I leave it to you!
